Our baseball player...

Our S-Man is turning out to be quite the athlete! This summer he has passed his time playing baseball, basketball, kickball, and very soon, swimming lessons. Sawyer especially enjoys baseball and basketball, and I must say (no bias, of course) that he is turning out to be very talented at both. Hopefully his big feet will be beneficial for something! Sawyer's last baseball game was yesterday and they ended up coming in second to last in the league. Thankfully Sawyer has a great attitude about winning and losing. He does his best and has fun regardless of the outcome. That's my boy!

Cousin Amie's Wedding on Nahma Beach

Oh my! If you know Nahma Beach, you know the natural beauty that already exists there. Now, add a bunch of chairs, a harpist, and a gorgeous wedding party, and you have the most breathtaking, memorable wedding I've ever been to. Pictures say it all... Enjoy!

Amie was an exquisite bride!

The Sand Ceremony - they mixed sand from Nahma Beach and the shores of Traverse City (where Matt is from). How cool is that??

I am so happy I had a chance to visit with my cousin Matt. He will be heading overseas (to a not-so-friendly place) in the near future. I am so proud of him! I will be praying for his safe return so he can come back and learn how to drive a 4-wheeler properly! (LOL!)
Stay safe Matt!

Look! Amie had DAISIES for her wedding!

Congratulations Amie and Matt! We hope your life together is as beautiful as your wedding day was!

Happy Birthday to Our Handsome 7 Year Old!

On July 19th our Sawyer turned 7 years old! I am in shock at how quickly time is flying by. It seems like just yesterday I was running to the hospital 4 weeks before my due date only to be told that we wouldn't be leaving the hospital without a baby! (That moment is engraved in my head forever!)

Sawyer, Mom and Dad are SO PROUD of the quality young man that you are becoming! You are a wonderful friend, a compassionate soul, and just about the best big brother that kids could have. 2nd grade...here you come!

NYC (July 12-15)

We had a GREAT time in NYC! It wasn't what you would call a relaxing trip; we were on the go NON-STOP! But it was so much fun! Sorry, not many pictures. Isn't it funny how when the kids aren't around the camera stays away??

Oh...and we were on the Late Night with David Letterman show! We happened to be walking by his studio when they were taping and got to stand by Biff when a chalk artist was drawing his picture in the street. We got to talk to Biff and we saw Dave when he walked out right in front of us to see the drawing. It was cool! That night we saw ourselves on the show several times. We even got some comments when we got back home from people (who didn't even know we were in NYC) that saw the show. So much for our .5 second of fame. No the paparrazi has not been knocking on our doors...

And naturally we left our camera in the hotel, so these pictures are from Bob's cell phone.

Did I mention the Chopper guys were there, too??
