The new format begins!!!
Hi Family and Friends! I'm not sure how this new BLOG format is going to work for us. Hopefully it is a relatively easy thing to navigate! The YAHOO group thing was fun, but I thought it was too much of a pain for people to have to sign in. This format should be quick and easy to get into.
Life is good in this neck of the woods. Sawyer and Tate are up in Nahma with Gram and Gramp enjoying the beach and good weather. They are having a blast and naturally don't want to come home. While the boys were away this weekend, Bob, Sofia, and I went to Chicago for a few days to enjoy good food and shopping. It was such fun! Sofia totally enjoys having us all to herself. She loves her brothers, too, but WOW does she play it up when we are alone! Anyway, she is exhausted and is still sleeping (9:00 AM!!!). She doesn't sleep very well when she isn't in her own bed, so needless to say, we are all a bit tired.
Sofia continues to do very well. She is SOOOOO close to crawling. She can almost get into the crawling position and she wants to move badly. Of course we are mean and put things she wants in front of her just out of her reach. :o) She's really into mimicking lately too. She's also saying a few words. We love it when she says mamama and dadada cause we know she is saying it just for us!
The boys are doing great! Sawyer started t-ball a few weeks ago and is LOVING it. He does really well...especially when he pays attention! LOL! He LOVES it when he has an audience of more than me and Sofia. Last week Uncle Davey came one day and Gram Dani and Gramp Pat came another day. He was so proud! Tate continues to talk up a storm. It is amazing how one day the kid is speaking his own language (Chinese, we think) and the next day he is speaking in sentences. He is so cute! Right now both boys suffer from bald-head syndrome because their dad brought them in for a "summer hair cut" that ended up looking more like the cue-ball look. Needless to say, Dad won't be bringing the boys in for haircuts again anytime soon.
Holy Hannah has it been hot here! Today it is supposed to be over 100 degrees with the heat index. That is crazy! I don't think we will be leaving the house that much today. Last week we planted a bunch of perennials so we have been babying them BIGTIME to try to keep them alive. I can't imagine what our water bill is going to be! And our electric bill from running the central air non-stop. Oh well!
I'll close for now! Oh...one more thing...at the very bottom of each posting (in this case, below the following pictures), you will see the word "comments" with a number in front of it. If you click on the word "comments" you can leave us a message! We LOVE getting messages! We hope you enjoy the new site!

Thanks for sharing this. I get updates from Bob but the pics and your narrative is great. Looking forward to seeing you and the family sometime this summer for a break from the workday. D.
