Lately the Huss household has been C*R*A*Z*Y with activity! We had a great Thanksgiving up at Grandma Dani and Grandpa Pat's house. (Sorry, no pictures...) Lately, we have started to get ready for Christmas. This afternoon we plan on going to the tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree. This year we even have snow on the ground for the occaision! Woohoo! In spite of how much I complain about the cold, snow really puts you into more of the holiday mood. It seems like the past few years it has been very brown right before Christmas. I can do without the sub-arctic temps, but the snow is beautiful!
The kids continue to rock! Sawyer had a wonderful parent teacher conference. The teacher told us that he continues to be a genius and gets along very well in kindergarten. He is in the high reading group and is able to spell better than his dad. Tatey continues to be a ball of energy. He is the epitomy of a 2 year old (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and talks more and more each day. Sawyer calls his language "Tatey Spanish", because sometimes it is a little bit difficult to understand him. Sofia is definitely living up to her princess status. She has started to bend in for big kisses that truly melt our heart. Her words are coming along fairly well. She was evaluated by early intervention for speech and language and we were told that she is a bit delayed, but not enough for her to receive therapy services. Sofia continues to have physical therapy, but I assume she will be dismissed in the near future becasue she is progressing so well. She's still a bit tippy, but improves on a daily basis.
We have AGAIN made changes to the living situation in our house. The office is again the office and Sofia is in Sawyer's old room. Sawyer and Tate are LOVING their new bunkbeds and the transition to 2 brothers in a room has been fairly smooth. Our office is almost done...just picked up the desk at Pottery Barn last night. The walls have been painted back to the same green that they were last year at this time (grrrrr.....). Our next big project is Sofia's room, which needs to be done soon. It is a disaster...poor little thing!
I'll close for now. I hope everyone has a great holiday season! Enjoy the pics!
