The Wedding...

A hug for cousin Hudson!

Sofia was mezmerized by the French horns.

*Luckily I was wearing black and white. I kind of look like a ring bearer, don't I? Little Hudson decided at the last minute that walking down the aisle really wasn't his thing.

We had a GREAT time at cousin Megan's wedding this past weekend. Megan was an absolutely stunning bride and Sofia was a beautiful flowergirl princess. We left Combined Locks at noonish on Friday the 29th and made it up to Marquette (late) for rehearsal. The boys stayed with Granny, so that was WONDERFUL! They wouldn't have appreciated the rehearsal or the wonderful dinner at the very historic Landmark Hotel. (The hotel would have never been the same if my boys would have stepped foot in it!) The wedding was Saturday afternoon, and Sofia was surprisingly cooperative. She made it down the isle (with me in tow) and then decided that she needed a better seat then the front row. She walked around and stood by the minister as he perormed the ceremony. I'm not kidding. Sofia stood by the minister for the majority of the service. Fortunately she was well-behaved up there. She even played peek-a-boo with the groom Stephen during the service. I guess good behavior is all relative from a 3 year old. At least she wasn't screaming, right?

Oh well... The reception was a lot of fun. Tatey requested the "Big Butts..." song and I think that the DJs were a little surprised by this request from a 4 year old. They were kind of giving me that *bad parent* look until I told them that the song is featured on the movie Shark Tale and that we don't typically listen to it around our house. Tatey also had the good fortune to stand up in front of everyone at the wedding reception and sing Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer. It was such a hoot! Sawyer got to try out his hip-hop dance moves, and was surprised when everyone on the dance floor stopped to watch him and cheer him on. All 3 kids were dancing fools. They didn't sit for a single song!
